Welcome to Derry, season one review
This show is one of the best I've seen in 2025. The show is an expansion of the new IT movies that recently came out
The show actually made me feel bad for Ingrid Kirsch, Bob Gray's daughter. The original Pennywise, I understand why she felt compelled to help The Entity. Because losing a parent can be one of the worst pains a person can experience, and everybody would do anything in their power to get that parent back, I do not like the losers' club from the It book. Still, I enjoyed this version of the loser's club, and I'm sure I will grow to like the other versions that will come in future seasons. The one similarity. All the losers' club versions have is that they won against it because of Luck. I must admit that I felt sorry for the entity, despite its demonic nature. It was simply a creature trying to escape its inevitable death. If I were in that position, I would do whatever it took. To try to prevent my death. No matter what Side of things I'm on, I do wish that Maddie, the first victim, had died in a later episode. So, we could have gotten his backstory. But he ended up being the catalyst.
To kick off the first season of this show, his death is what's most interesting and got me hooked. I, also, like the character, will approach the situation in a very scientific manner. I also admired his bravery in facing the entity. I found Lily Bainbridge, Richie Tozier's mother, to be a fascinating character. I also like the character of Ronnie. Interesting to see dick Halloran's appearance in this series. I also liked the Indian tribe. I hope that there will be a **Welcome to Derry, Season One Review**
Without a doubt, this show is one of the best I've watched in 2025, brilliantly expanding on the recent IT films. I felt a genuine connection with Ingrid Kirsch, Bob Gray's daughter; the anguish of losing a parent is immense, and it's entirely plausible that anyone would go to great lengths to bring them back. While I haven't been a fan of the losers' club in the original IT book, this version is compelling, and I'm certain I'll enjoy future adaptations. It's evident that every iteration ultimately triumphs over IT through sheer Luck.
Despite its sinister nature, the entity is compelling in its desperate attempt to escape death, adding layers to the narrative. I wish Maddie, the first victim, had survived longer to enrich his backstory, but his death effectively hooked me into the plot. I admire the scientific approach of one character, and both Lily Bainbridge and Ronnie stand out as fascinating additions. Dick Halloran's appearance was an excellent touch, and I eagerly await a showdown with Rose in future seasons. The finale was outstanding, leaving me excited for what's to come. I confidently recommend this series to all Stephen King fans who haven't experienced it yet.**Welcome to Derry, Season One Review**
